What it meant for me during that harsh cycle was this, stop seeing things around you in a dualistic way as going wrong, or projecting out there into the world that everything is off or not going right.

After a lot of faced I had to face, enemies felt to be all around me. Chaos and deceptive spirits.
Malevolence against me was on full.
So, it's about shadow integration and mastering one's own self. The realization it is in you, and going from there.

See the world actually through more positive scope when what is not bright, warm or very inviting is not a thing outside you at all times, that you have to go around seeking out to change to get the sense of effectiveness and self worth.
You cannot go like that, anyway. You will end up in a maze of constantly wanting to 'fix' or be at odds with everyone and everything around and outside you.

So, it was around end of Fall, beginning of Winter a couple years ago I made this.

Obviously the Magician from tarot, I just flattened and made a dark silhouette.
I am less into the tarot compared to how I used to be.
Not from a moral stance.
Just a change up to other methods for the most part.
It was important because it resonates to making changes happen, and how you direct thought power towards anything, expect it to become seeds planted to your shaping reality.

What's right under that Magician is something I scribbled way back, defining how every winter I descend into the Cthonic or underworld journey, like clockwork, with the sun.

I'm thinking it's no longer in production. I have a couple of Medium untouched in the packages they came in and haven't tried to sell them.

Just an interesting side note, my to left arm, what's left of it is not very developed, but jointed so I can lock the shoulder, if I got someone in a headlock, they could never get back out.

There is a spider at the bottom below the Black Moon Lilith astrology symbol. BML stands for the primal urge to tear through the walls and not be imprisoned or confined, we all have , at any expense.

The spider is because I was wanting to restore the nature of its harmonious state, more like Grandmother Weaver. Respectful status.
I had to fight a group of occultists who are into Transyuggothian necro magick called 'gnostic voudon', and work with these spirits who impart the ability to shapeshift into giant were-tarantulas and feed on people's souls.
You know, like werewolves. Only giant slimy parasitic interdimensional spiders.
That's just one possible aspect.

They access people's thoughts and invade the psychic life as well as feed on your light body via freemasonic techniques. They spread what is called the 'hot points' or 'points chaud' as the elites more know them as. They call them 'healing empowerments', but they are hive mind inducing access points through their hierarchical structure, essentially functioning like portable magical stargates.

Land spirits (Old Norse landvættir) are the localized animating spirits of the land. (Polytheistic gods are immanent within the land as well, but have a more universal range; nevertheless, the line between gods and land spirits in the pre-Christian religion of the Norse and other Germanic peoples is hardly clear-cut.) They wield considerable influence over the well-being of the land and all who depend on it.

They can bless or curse those who live or travel within their land, and be blessed or cursed by them in turn. They’re fierce protectors of their native lands, seldom tolerant of mistreatment and dishonor, and seem to have a very passionate disposition in general.

The pre-Christian Germanic peoples seem to have taken great care to maintain the land spirits’ favor. For example, the first law code of Iceland (930 CE) instructed those entering the country by ship to remove the dragon-heads from their boats when they sighted land, lest they frighten the land spirits.

Just as there’s no absolutely distinct line between the land spirits and the gods, the lines that separate the land spirits from the elves, dwarves, and giants are blurry as well.

As with the elves, the worship of the land spirits continued long after the Germanic peoples were officially converted to Christianity and the veneration of the principal heathen gods had become little more than a folk memory.

1 - The fate of Ormrinn Langi

While converting the Jarldoms in Norway to Christianity, king Olaf Trygvasson took as plunder a massive longship later named Ormrinn Skammi (The Short Serpent). This man was impressed by its design and size, and as he gained more wealth trough raiding as viking he commissioned the greatest longship in history, Ormrinn Langi (The Long Serpent). It is described in the same saga as follows: 34 pairs of rows each side for 68 rowers, a broad and high deck for crossing seas and carrying armies (estimated to be around 45 meters long).
This beast warship was sailed on the Øyrasund strait along with the rest of the royal fleet when Trygvasson was ambushed by his many enemies, the fleets of danes and swedes combined to cover the entire horizon with ships.
The norwegian king had no choice but to face against outnumberingly bad odds the coming armies, where soon blood was told to cover every deck of norwegian ships and danish with swedish armies on them. Ormrinn Langi stood last with Olaf's retinue defending its massive deck until Trygvasson jumped overboard afraid of blades. The swedes were told to have captured Ormrinn langi, but nothing else is known about the fate of the largest longship.


2 - Supernatural encounters in Grettir's saga

There is no figure more fabled and controversial in icelandic sagas than Grettir Asmundsson, a violent outlaw with many strange flaws and characteristics.
After murdering, Grettir is condemned in Iceland to full outlawry and flees to Norway where he is hunted down day and night by the family of the offended, and taking down tens after tens of warriors. This is the easiest part for him, however as the supernormal seems to be against him as well, where he is said to face Draugr (undead) and cave trolls, being a characteristic exclusive to some outlaw sagas.
What is strangest however is Glam the Undead who curses Grettir after he is defeated to be afraid of the dark. From there on, the Saga becomes more and more surreal, it is told that eyes haunted the outlaw from the dark and could not get sleep unless somebody kept watch for him. Another such curse is laid unto him when he makes his last stand on the Icelandic island of Drangey, where he is paralysed by a witch. This Saga is the strangest by far for all the out of the ordinary happenings.


3 - Vinland, do we really know anything about it?

We all like to be that one who says "but the Vikings discovered the americas!", and you'd be right for the archaeological evidence, but the literary one from the sagas is absolutely
strange. For instance, in Erik the Red's saga there is told of some, I will call them "ghost crops", where there is told of self sown wheat (even today, the only evidence for native wheat is in the Middle East) and grapes which are not found natively in North America. Most probably they were either confused or lies to attract investors and settlers.
Even more strange are the encounters with the amerindian nomad settlers named Skrælings which are not identified to a tribe even today. They were initially trading with the norse, but later became hostile. They were many but the icelandic settlers had superior techology and kept their lands for a while. In one battle, a farm was attacked by a warband of Skrælingjar where only a pregnant woman survived. It is told that she managed to scare and rout the attackers alone.
For unknown reasons, Vinland was abandoned, and later in the middle ages it was only a memory and thought by some to be Africa. Nowadays we only know Vinland is in modern day Canada because of the finds.

Growing up I read these strips (Belgian comics) names Thorgal, and they were absolutely amazing. It fueled my passion for Norse mythology
