  • Berserker label artwork for my shop Valkyrie Beard Care. Each has a bindrune, color and icon representing it. This bindrune incorporates:

ᛏ (Tiwaz) – I know this is the rune of Tyr, the god of war and justice, but what I am using it for here is the war aspect, the sheer focus and bloodlust that drives a berserker into battle. Tiwaz has a sharp, spear-like structure, which adds that visual sense of aggression and piercing power. It cuts through the chaos.

ᚦ (Thurisaz) – The rune of giants, of destruction, the very embodiment of primal rage and brute force. It’s the heartbeat of the berserker’s madness. This is the berserker rune. Thurisaz brings the brutality into the mix—there’s no controlling this energy.

ᚲ (Kaunaz) – Now we bring in the fire. Kaunaz is the torch, the flame that represents not only knowledge but a consuming force. And this isn't the gentle glow of a hearth—this is the wildfire that scorches everything in its path. Berserkers were known to get into a blood frenzy so intense that it was like their body was burning from within. Kaunaz symbolizes that inner fire, the fury that lights up their madness.

  • Draugr label artwork for my shop Valkyrie Beard Care. Each has a bindrune, color and icon representing it. This bindrune incorporates:

ᛞ (Dagaz) - Typically associated with day and dawn, this rune could represent the transition between life and death, as well as the haunting existence that bridges the two worlds for a Draugr. It's the moment between, the inevitable fate. Its structure of crossing lines creates a natural "X" shape, representing the crossing between life and death.

ᚷ (Gebo) - Gebo often symbolizes a gift, but in this context, I’d view it as a cursed gift, the Draugr’s unholy presence left behind, bound to the physical realm. It hints at the unwillingness to move on and the lingering attachment to material possessions or power. Gebo is interlocking with Dagaz to symbolize the binding nature of this cursed spirit to its material existence.

ᛉ (Algiz) - A rune of protection and defense, but twisted here to represent the Draugr’s fierce, defensive nature, guarding their graves and treasures, or warding off the living who would disturb their rest. I positioned Algiz upward from the central crossing point, like a skeletal figure rising, its arms reaching outwards in both threat and defense.

ᚦ (Thurisaz) - The rune of giants and destructive forces, it embodies the chaotic, violent, and uncontrollable strength of the Draugr. It represents raw aggression and danger.

  • Primal label artwork for my shop Valkyrie Beard Care. Each has a bindrune, color and icon representing it. This bindrune incorporates:

Algiz (ᛉ) - Often seen as the rune of divine protection, but it goes deeper than just a simple shield. It's not passive—it actively connects the spiritual with the physical, the heavens with the earth. Imagine it as a kind of sacred antenna, reaching up to the divine forces for guidance and protection, while simultaneously grounding and rooting into the primal, earthly realm.

Uruz (ᚢ) – The rune of strength, endurance, and untamed power. It represents the primal force of nature, the raw and unyielding energy of the wild, like the strength of an ancient aurochs. For Primal, this rune speaks to the pure, unrefined essence of life, survival, and physicality.

Thurisaz (ᚦ) – The thorn, the giant, the force of chaos. Thurisaz embodies destructive power and primal instinct, the kind of uncontrollable force that can both protect and destroy. It brings a dangerous edge to the bindrune, symbolizing the wild, uncontrollable side of nature.

Eiwaz (ᛇ) – This rune represents the yew tree, associated with endurance, transformation, and the connection between life and death. It gives the bindrune a deeper spiritual dimension, reflecting the cycle of life, death, and rebirth that is part of the natural world. For Primal, it adds the notion of transformation, the primal forces that bring both creation and destruction.

  • Valhalla label artwork for my shop Valkyrie Beard Care. Each has a bindrune, color and icon representing it. This bindrune incorporates:

Tiwaz (ᛏ) – The rune of Tyr, representing honor, justice, and the warrior’s path. For Valhalla, it’s the ultimate symbol of the noble fight, the bravery that leads a warrior to fall in battle with honor, securing their place in Odin’s Hall. The fallen heroes of Valhalla exemplify this courageous energy.

Algiz (ᛉ) – The protective rune, symbolizing divine protection and the sacred space of Valhalla. It guards the hall of the chosen warriors, where they are safe under the watch of the gods. In this bindrune, it represents that spiritual shield that keeps Valhalla as a sacred and protected place.

Ansuz (ᚨ) – The rune of Odin, symbolizing wisdom, communication, and divine inspiration. It ties the warriors to Odin’s wisdom and guidance, reminding us that Valhalla is not just a place of feasting and celebration but also of learning and spiritual growth, under the Allfather’s watchful eye.

This combination speaks to the honorable passage of a warrior—protected by divine forces, guided by Odin’s wisdom, and celebrated for their courage.

  • My latest label artwork for my shop Valkyrie Beard Care. Each will have a bindrune, color and icon representing it. This bindrune incorporates:

Raido (ᚱ) – Positioned at the top:
This rune stands for journey, movement, and travel. For the Vikingr, it embodies the physical and spiritual paths they traverse, whether it’s sailing across oceans or walking the path of fate. Raido also brings structure to chaos, a sense of purpose, and guidance in the pursuit of destiny. It's the force driving the Vikingr forward, towards adventure and conquest.

Algiz (ᛉ) – In the center:
A rune of protection, sacred power, and defense. It’s often seen as a shield, safeguarding the Vikingr both physically in battle and spiritually from harm. It represents the connection to the gods and higher powers, providing divine protection in dangerous situations. For the Vikingr, this rune ensures that they walk their perilous path with the gods watching over them, granting them the strength to ward off threats.

Laguz (ᛚ) – At the bottom:
The water rune, associated with the flow of life, intuition, and the unknown depths. For the Vikingr, Laguz reflects their connection to the sea, which played a vital role in their journeys and livelihoods. It also represents adaptability, allowing them to flow with changing circumstances, to trust their instincts, and to navigate the unseen currents of fate. It brings a mystical, almost subconscious element to their warrior spirit, signifying that not all battles are fought with brute strength—some are won with intuition and inner guidance.

Together, these runes form a powerful image of a Vikingr—one who moves with purpose (Raido), fights with the protection of the gods (Algiz), and flows with the unpredictable forces of life (Laguz). It's a perfect balance of action, defense, and adaptability, making this bindrune far more nuanced than a simple warrior symbol.

  • Released a banger over on Æthyrien X that played around with the idea of a Trap song with Vivaldi-style violins about Skadi longing to return to the mountains after spending 9 days at sea with Njordr. What do you all think?

  • There isn't enough 'legit' Blood Eagle artwork out there in my opinion. I have rendered so many dead bodies just to get the right parts for this while having medical diagrams pulled up haha. I didn't bother flipping the lungs upside down, I think this is good enough... Work in progress for the shop: https://www.aethyrien.com

  • This is the first single for Æthyrien X, the 'eXperimental' version of Aethyrien. The goal with this side project is to retell the old Norse stories and lore through a new lens layered over modern music while not abiding by any certain genre. Every track is based on a specific story from Norse lore, so every track will be unique in its own right. Often times the lyrics will use Old Norse, or even be completely in Old Norse. This is a very ambitious project, but essentially my playground where I will release whatever creative concept comes to mind without worry of fitting a predefined genre or sound. I hope you enjoy this as much I as did composing it!!

The Process: I use a very involved process of using AI to render me hundreds of vocals and music, splitting the tracks into STEMS, combining/composing them in my DAW (Reaper), adding effects, more instruments, atmosphere, etc.

    LYRICS:

    [Hermóðr]
Through grim and darkened paths I tread,
To Hel's cold gate, where rot the dead.
The stench of flesh, it fills the air,
A journey bleak, of deep despair.

Bones littered 'cross the path I ride,
Screams of torment, the damned, they cried.
Their hollow eyes, devoid of light,
    In endless pain, eternal night.

Here It was dark, the dread profound
In this abyss where horrors abound
each step i take my hope decays
lost in Hel's grip, a chilling haze

With every breath the coldness seeps
into my bones, the terror creeps
a land forsaken, void of grace
despair and fear, i now embrace!

"O Baldr fair, my brother lost!
To Hel I go, at any cost!
Through realms of night, I make my plea!
To bring you back, from misery!"

"Damn you, Hel, for the darkness you've spun!"
    "RELEASE! MY! KIN!"

    "I beg with dread,
Among the piles of severed heads.
In this dark place, where all is bled!"

    Baldr speaks as shadows creep,
His voice a whisper, soft and weak.

    Janos Lengyel
"I long to see the light once more, To leave this cold, eternal shore.
And feel the warmth I knew before,
    (Hel: Silence you fool...)
    Escape this fate, forevermore"

    [Hel]
    SILENCE!
    You're mine...
Unless all weep Hermóðr you've wasted my time.

Cold as Niflheim's frozen deep (yes!)
I cradle death, in silence i keep. (I keep!)
Beneath my touch, the whole world shall weep. (hahaha)
From my abyss, Baldr I keep

For if the whole world shall not weep
Then your dear Baldr shall I keep

Oh if the whole world shall not weep
Then your dear Baldr shall I keep (Ha!)

Unless all weep Hermóðr you've wasted my time...

    [Hermóðr]
With heavy heart, I turn away,
A task so great, a price to pay.
Through realms of night, I beg my plea
To bring you back, from misery.

"O world of men, now hear my call,
Weep for Baldr, weep one and all.
For in your tears, his life may lie,
Or in Hel's grasp, he’ll ever sigh."
