• Did a Rumble video, talking about subjects, the heathen community seems to be hesitant about.

Feel free to fast forward to the 10 minute mark, that’s when the video officially begins.

  • With more members here on Folkrealms I would like to ask is anyone here in Colorado, preferably Western Colorado?
I run a Forn Seð organization called Úlfung, and I like to extend invitations to the Norse Pagans of Colorado to check it out if they are interested in connecting with a local group. We cover the whole of Colorado, having members from all over the state, and have just recently got up to 200 members!
Our main operations and where we run the organization is in Western Co, and sadly things are still lacking for the East side of the state members, but we are working on that, unfortunately building this sort of thing is a bit difficult.
We also love partnering with other Forn Seð organizations and Norse Pagan groups around the world to help expand the heathen community and continue the growth of our spiritual following.

  • For those Heathens in the Northeast of the USA, if you are interested in Traditional Heathenry (basically Germanic tribal "religion" for people descended from the Germanic/Nordic tribes) please look into the Irminfolk Odinist Community and their annual Folkish Summer Hallowing events in the late summer. It is an event held in NE Pennsylvania with members travelling from all over the US and world to attend. The universalist pagans will label groups like this "Nazis," because they don't want us to know the Truth about our culture and they want you to stay away from connecting with our Ancestors and Old Gods, Old Ways of life. Instead, they want you to believe our Ancestors were shield maidens and rainbow Vikings, full of diversity and inclusion, and all that modern jazz we know to be garbage and BS. In 2025, for possibly the first time anywhere in the world, all three of our main Gods will be reunited in Idol form when the Irminfolk unveil Odin and Thor, finally joined by Freyr. These deities are nearly 6 ft. tall and gilded in gold. It will be amazing to be in Their presence. Join me, my friends! If anyone has questions or would like more info, just ask here or DM me.

  • The historical dates of Yule.

    2 sources:

Hakon the Good was a Norwegian king, who tried to force Christianity on Norway (hence he is called “the Good.”) In the Saga of Hakon the Good, Hakon moved Yule from its traditional time on the Heathen Lunar calendar, to be at the same time as christian celebration called christmas.

Chapter 15 of the saga "Hakon the Good":
“King Hakon was a good Christian when he came to Norway; but as the whole country was heathen, with much heathen blot, and as many great people, as well as the favor of the common people, were to be conciliated, he resolved to practice his Christianity in private. But he kept Sundays, and the Friday fasts, and some token of the greatest holy-days. He made a law that the festival of Yule should begin at the same time as Christian people held it, and that every man, under penalty, should brew a meal of malt into ale, and therewith keep the Yule holy as long as it lasted. Before him, the first night of Yule was on hǫkunótt, that is midwinter night, and Yule was held for three nights."

The Chronicon of Thietmar of Merseburg Chapter 17 (circa 925 AD):
"As I have heard odd stories concerning their ancient mid-winter sacrifices (blots), I will not allow this custom to be ignored. The middle of that kingdom is called Lederun (Lejre), in the region of Sjælland, all the people gathered every nine years in January, that is after we have celebrated the birth of the Lord, and there they offered to their gods sacrifices…”

  • Another low-effort post incoming. I've long noted the relation between heathen/pagan communities and metal. Additionally, I see others post music that either they themselves have made or simply enjoy, so here is my contribution.
This probably won't tick all the boxes for anything quintessentially "metal" but if you enjoy black metal (particularly atmospheric/DSBM) then you may enjoy this track I recorded nearly a year ago.

    Historical Heathen Yule
Restoring the original pre-christian understanding of Yule will allow us to have a truly Heathen understanding of mid-winter, or Yule. Please note, Mid-Winter on the Solstice halfway between two equinoxes is a modern solar understanding, not a historical Heathen one. Mid-winter or Yule was halfway between Winter Nights (the start of winter), and Sigurblot (the start of summer.) Winter Nights is on the Full Moon of Haustmanuthr, three full moons later is Yule or Mid-winter, on the Full Moon of Yu

  • Not sure who’ll see this but I need to share a dream that I need opinions on. I dreamt this female entity, very dark energy with maybe multiple eyes or with shifting face that made it look like multiple eyes, came to me and said give me your arm. I did but was a little scared. She then peed on it and scolded me to not ever do something ever again. I don’t know what that something is! Then she said you’re mine now forever. As she was leaving she was holding a little girl’s hand. She could have been my late daughter or me as a little girl. I couldn’t tell since we looked alike at that same age. I woke up and my first thought was the goddess Hel. I was a little scared but also felt awe and reverence for her. Does this sound like the Goddess Hel? I’m am new to Norse heathenry.
