Grew up in Normandy's countryside by the Sea. My creations are inspired by mythology, nature, History and animals. Since we are not taught about it at school, I've learned about Norman history with the help of fellow Normans, reenactment circles, books, museums and knowledge from the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia. Connecting with Norman History as well as my Norse and Celtic roots has been a grounding and healing journey for me.

Good morning, everyone!
I have never posted my poetry anywhere online, so this is out of my comfort zone - but here it is. I wrote it a few nights ago, inspired by the balance between our inner strengths and weaknesses.
I am aware that Jötunns aren't inherently malevolent beings in Norse mythology, but here, they symbolise negative thoughts, these inner critics that can sometimes get a bit too loud.
Writing this helped me, and I thought maybe it might resonate with some of you too.
I didn't follow a strict rhyme structure this time, I just wanted to let it flow naturally.
For the illustration, I borrowed elements from the Tullstorp Runestone (ship) and the Runestone Sigurdsristningen (birds).
I hope you enjoy,

Good morning everyone!
I camped in the middle of meadows and woke up to this beautiful sunrise.

Denmark gave Rouen a replica of the Jelling Runestone in 1911 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the Duchy of Normandy. ⚔ The last sentence on the plaque says Rouen was called the town of the Danes.

I met some Roussins de la Hague during my walk today. They are an ancient local breed of sheep in Western Normandy, already mentioned in the 18th century. They were mixed with the Suffolk breed from the UK during the sixties.I met some Roussins de la Hague during my walk today.
