  • I'm almost ashamed of the mess of supplies under my little table...
But good day, everyone~! I have a question of curiosity for you. But first, please allow me to indulge in a glimmer of mine. The question will be a little below~

It's nearing noon in the Pacific Time Zone. Here, we're enjoying the sun. Cora's favorite blanket is in her favorite cove next to my favorite rocking chair and beloved altar. My "glimmer" is that I've had her for 12 years as of this month (I'll add a baby picture~). Our journey together has been bumpy, but she's stuck with me through it all and has always been there for me.

Cora has not necessarily been a traditional "witch's familiar", despite being the first pet I had as wholly my own, but she has certainly still played a role in my growth as I went through my twenties.

It's no secret that bonding with animals can be largely beneficial for our overall wellbeing and health. But today, I'm curious about the spiritual.

**My question to the fellow pet owners and feral fosters: Has having an animal companion played a significant role on your spiritual path? Do you incorporate them into your practices in some way?

Are they, like Cora, a pain to keep off of your altar?

I hope that wherever you are, your day is favorable. I wish the best for each of you on this spring Thursday! Many smiles and much love~ If you have an animal friend, give them a pat for me~!

(And thank you for indulging in my glimmer with me~)

  • Book of Nature's Beauty

One of many books that I've created inspired by nature and many beautiful flowers found in spring and summer time, every walk is endless inspiration!
It was a lot of work but the effort was worth it :)
Runes of Harmony, Calm and Abundance were used in it's programming to enhance it's ability to create perfect ambient and make any mood a better one!

  • Hail, men and women of Midgard! Name is Eric, been Heathen for about 10 years now, and have been devoted to Heimdall for about 2 years.

The month of May is a wonderful and aethereal time of year: Spring is truly here, and the Wee Folk are particularly active - but I want to make a brief reminder of what else this month entails for us: Remembrance. Many folk usually take November (Samhain / Álfablót) to honour the dead, but this month is when we have Memorial Day, that one time of year we make silent memories for those who are now in Odin's Halls.

It was also on the 8th of May when Germany and the rest of the world ended the Second World War, finally ushering in an age of relative peace amongst peoples everywhere; millions of peoples - Jewish, Romani, Black, etc... - were massacred simply for existing, and this date marks the end of an age of suffering and dispair.

If it's true that we are all children of the Earth and the Gods, then let us make sure that, this year, we remind all people that they are never less nor more than any of us - as the Gods intended, we are all equal. Heimdall may have fathered the social classes, but in 2025, we are in an age which requires all folk to act as one class.

As such, I pray that Heimdall gives us the fortitude to make us see when inequality and corruption arise, and to give those folk no frith (Hav. 127); I also hope that we all remember those who have fallen, in battle or otherwise, and that we see them all as part of our own people.

  • Remember!
    Hedgehogs is our friends!

These small, spiky visitors in the garden are not just cute – they’re natural pest controllers and help maintain balance in nature.

See a hedgehog in your garden?
Lend a helping hand by putting out some dry cat food, and a bowl of water – they love it, and it gives them the energy they need, especially in spring and autumn.

I just had a visit this night so I might aswell just educate people that don’t know about this
    Peace ✌🏻

  • Since we've established that homemade foods count as folk-y, here's some penne with home made pesto made of beargarlic I foraged in the woods this spring.

  • Three days left at sea! The mountains are calling and it will be good to be home once again. Spring building season is here and there’s much to do this year.
