Celebrated my 60th birthday this week to go see King Diamond and then it was topped off with me crashing on a scooter ... lol. Have a shiner of a black eye however, the Gods must have been watching over me, it could have been a lot worse. I hope everyone is doing well! :)

I attended the Fire in the Mountains fest in Wyoming, US in 2022 and my absolute favorite was Wolves in the Throne Room. Totally more black metal than Viking metal. However, this performance was amazing!

Usually at work they play Motown, R&B, 80's Hair Metal etc. I never asked for any music so they asked me today what I wanted to hear in my department. Of course, I requested traditional Viking music. The first song was Ivar's Revenge. I recorded comments while at my desk looking like I was texting someone. The comments are great.
Where I work in Central Alabama..NOBODY has ever heard this music before. They ended up playing Danheim, Herknungr, Fuidamane, Heilung, Wardruna, Vinny Camilleri, and more. Everyone loved it!
They said afterwards ..it's great Friday afternoon music. So it will play again next Friday. :D

Enjoyed a beautiful post thunderstorm sunset last night here in Alabama then today, thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility of an early morning walk in my local Botanical Gardens. Listened to Danheim, Munknoor, Wardruna plus Herknungr channels while walking. Love being surrounded by color, nature sounds and peace with wonderful music. Good for the body and soul. Feel very rejuvenated!
