🇬🇧 text + link further down. 🇸🇪 Utförda Blot 2025: Blotlag Gungnir höll Segerblot 12 April 2025. Blotlaget samlades för det sedvanliga Segerblotet den 12 april. Platsen var ny för dom flesta av oss, ett gammalt gravfält med en historia som sträcker sig minst 4500 år bakåt i tiden. Undertecknad och Ulfva Hvidegaard var blotförrättare och biträdande blotförrättare. Vi samlades innan vid en upphöjd plats med utsikt över fältet och efter iordningställande var vi redo möta våra deltagare. Vid parkeringen hade vi Susanne Rutfält som visade besökarna var dom skulle gå. Allt eftersom droppade människor in på platsen, hälsades välkomna. Många nya ansikten i vimlet, hela sex stycken som letat sig ut till Pilane... The Blót kindred gathered for the customary Victory Blót on April 12th. The location was new to most of us—a burial field with a history stretching back at least 4,500 years. Yours truly and Ulfva Hvidegaard served as assistant officiant. We gathered beforehand at an elevated spot overlooking the field, and after preparing the site, we were ready to meet our participants. At the parking area, we had Susanne Rutfält guiding visitors on where to go. As people gradually arrived at the site, they were warmly welcomed. Since I have been getting my senses, emotions and creativity back slowly... I have a track for Æthyrien X that I plan on releasing at some point and was working on the album cover for it. The song is Gefinn Óðni (Odin's Sacrifice) is about the sacrifice Odin made hanging himself while pierced by his own spear, Gungnir. Not only that, but I took creative liberty to tell this story from the perspective of Huginn (and sung by a woman nonetheless). I have read the ancient texts and have always heard references to these 9 nights of sacrificing himself to himself in the pursuit of understanding the runes, but never told from the perspective of someone else other than Odin. With this artwork though I am only halfway done and still need to add his spear (I already got his hand ready to be holding the spear), add Huginn from the tree's branches above him and then proceed to add final touches of lighting and atmosphere to bring it all together. This will then be turned into a lyrical video like all of Æthyrien X's songs are released and will involve me subtly animating this scene. Thoughts? It's a bit dark now but I haven't adding all the lighting and color grading it will receive after all the elements have been added and blended together. <3

Den 13/4 så höll Sleipner blotlag sitt årliga Segerblot, ett blot där vi firar alla gångna och kommande segrar. Blotet ägde rum ute i Tinnerö Eklandskap i Linköping. Denna dagen var Sunna med oss och lyste samt värmde oss med sin närvaro...
