[Work in Progress] Draugr, artwork being produced for Valkyrie Beard Care. PERSPECTIVE: I tried to make this dude look eerie but really capture a sense of doom or dread surrounding him. The paint coming off of him is also supposed to symbolize the stench and disease they emit from great distances away. SCENT: Petrichor (Rain), Wet Moss, Seaweed, Decayed Leather, Rusted Chainmail, Dead Leaves, Ancient Oud, Dark Musk TYPE: Masculine, Earthy, Macabre INSPIRATION: Deep within Norse lore, Draugrs are feared as undead beings, often described as the reanimated corpses of warriors. They guard their treasures fiercely and are known for their strength, stench of decay, and the dark aura that surrounds them. This scent captures the essence of these ancient guardians. You read that right. I was deeply inspired by the undead for this unique scent, aiming to evoke the essence of undead ancestral warriors without making you smell like actual death. FUN FACT: It took me at least a half hour to get his eyes right because I kept accidentally giving him googly eyes. LOL

[Work in Progress] Yggdrasil, artwork being produced for Valkyrie Beard Care. PERSPECTIVE: I wanted to create an abstract view of Yggdrasil rather than the ordinary symbolism you typically see in modern art. I wanted the roots to be frayed and in darkness and in shadows, relating to Nidhogg (frayed/darkness) and the Norns nurturing the roots (shadow/mystery). The central portion of it is all lit up, ripe with life with Midgard, Alfheim, etc. And leaves falling away reflecting back to Jera and the cycle of life. Aspects of the tree looks to be extremely old (like Bonsai junipers) considering it is the cosmic thread holding reality itself together. SCENT: Unique blend of misty evergreen forests, petrichor, sweet floral notes, melting alpine snow, ozone. GENRE: Sweet, evergreen, wet INSPIRATION: Inspired by Yggdrasil, the cosmic ash tree that connects all realms, this scent captures the essence of a misty, evergreen forest. After months of perfecting the blend, Yggdrasil emerged as a unique aroma, delicately balancing the scent of tall evergreens, subtle agarwood, petrichor, and gentle floral notes. It’s an inviting, smooth fragrance that transports you to the heart of the wilderness, evoking the mystery and serenity of nature’s most sacred tree.
