Welcome to FolkRealms - a place for authentic tales, creativity, and connection. To keep the realm thriving, please follow these simple rules:

AI-Generated Content

• Not Allowed:

  • AI images are not allowed on FolkRealms.

  • AI-generated images for private profiles (posts, profile images, cover photos, etc).

  • External links that contain an AI image in the link preview on FolkRealms. This includes YouTube and other video sites.

  • No AI-generated text. Posts and comments must be written by you, in your own words - not generated by AI tools like ChatGPT. AI-written text is not allowed and will be removed.

Bot Usage

• Strictly prohibited:

  • Using bots or automation to post content, comments, or interactions is not allowed.

  • Accounts found using such methods may be removed without warning.

Nudity & Artistic Expression

• Allowed:

  • Nudity that is clearly artistic, cultural, or part of creative work (e.g., photography, paintings, historical themes).

• Not Allowed:

  • Pornographic content, explicit sexual material, or videos focused solely on arousal.

  • Low-effort nudity posts without artistic or thematic context.

Racism & Hate Speech

• Not Allowed:

  • Racism, racial slurs, and discrimination based on ethnicity or heritage are not tolerated. FolkRealms celebrates diverse traditions - disrespecting people for their background has no place here.

  • Use of Norse, runic or folk symbols for Nazi or racist purposes. The symbols are ours; using them to signal Nazism is not.

Modern Politics

• Allowed:

  • Historical, cultural and folkloric subjects, including difficult ones and the politics of past eras. A historical subject is still welcome even if it connects to something people argue about today.

• Not Allowed:

  • Present-day political issues, policies, parties, elections, movements or ideological conflicts - in posts, comments, profiles or links. The line is crossed when the conversation turns towards present-day politics, and keeping it respectful doesn't change that. We keep modern politics out so FolkRealms stays a shared space for folklore, history, traditions and culture, rather than turning into another political battleground.

Spam and Flooding

• Not Allowed:

  • Spam, excessive repetitive posting, duplicate content, feed flooding, and mass or automated messaging are not allowed.

    Posting many pieces of substantially similar content in a short period with the effect of dominating or disrupting the community feed may also be considered spam.

Respect the Realm

• Be respectful to others - no harassment, hate speech, or spam.

• FolkRealms is built for real people sharing real stories, art, and music. Keep it human and meaningful.

Violations of these “Not Allowed” rules will result in removal of the content, and may lead to suspension or a permanent ban.
