• What shall we see,
    over the hills,
    Far away,
    through the trees,
    Over the rocks,
    into the waters,
    And out across
    the stormy seas?

    What shall we hear
    In breaking thunder,
    In howling wind,
    And falling rain,
    ‘Round crackling fires
    Beneath the stars,
    Where only the bond
    Of kindred sustains?

    Heathen hearts,
    Come beat as one,
    Wander far,
    And wonder long;
    Keep the rhythm
    With your marching feet
    And sing out
    Your spirit’s song

    What shall we know
    In distant lands
    Where the gods
    Have bade us go,
    What wisdom will
    we bring back
    To help our people
    learn and grow?

    Only this
    and nothing more
    Need you know
    to be true;
    It is your nature
    to wander on
    Among the
    honoured few.

    Heathen hearts,
    Come beat as one,
    Wander far,
    And wonder long;
    Keep the rhythm
    With your marching feet
    And sing out
    Your spirit’s song

    The stirring you feel,
    deep within,
    Is the song
    Gangleri sings,
    Whispered in
    the binding runes
    And borne upon
    A Valkyr’s wings.

    Never mourn
    the journey taken
    Even when you
    know not why,
    For very few
    can say they’ve lived
    Free beneath
    the open sky!

    Heathen hearts,
    Come beat as one,
    Wander far,
    And wonder long;
    Keep the rhythm
    With your marching feet
    And sing out
    Your spirit’s song!

  • if all ye see
    is all ye know,
    then look no further,
    gaze not past the leaf,
    nay, into it,
    deep in the veins,
    in the lines of life
    like stilled fire,
    see ye the writ
    of Fehu?
    see ye the antlers
    of the Elk? of Algiz?

    look ye not, then...
    but feel the bark
    under your touch,
    moving like roads
    not travelled,
    your flesh
    against the skin
    of ages past,
    do ye not feel it?
    the pulse
    of Yggdrasil?

    then feel your heart,
    and know it beats
    with the world,
    the slow, steady walk
    where ye gather
    what ye may
    with open eyes
    to what is beneath
    the skin
    Of the upturned leaf

    Hail, Gangleri!
if all ye see is all ye know, then look no further, gaze not past the leaf, nay, into it, deep in the veins, in the lines of life like stilled fire, see ye the writ of Fehu? see ye the antlers of the Elk? of Algiz? look ye not, then... but feel the bark under your touch, moving like roads not travelled, your flesh against the skin of ages past, do ye not feel it? the pulse of Yggdrasil? then feel your heart, and know it beats with the world, the slow, steady walk where ye gather what ye may with open eyes to what is beneath the skin Of the upturned leaf Hail, Gangleri!
