🌊 Blótbað 🌊 - A blótbað is a personal cleansing ritual that can be performed any time but was always performed prior to blót and may have been done on a weekly basis by our ancestors. The folks at the Norrœnna Society even suggest this may be the origin of referring to Saturday as “Laugardagr” or “bath day”. As a daily spiritual practice, I use a modified version of the Norrœnna Society’s reconstructed blótbað ritual. I have found it is a great way to begin the day feeling physically and spiritually clean.
