Víðarr. He is lesser known among Odinson. The other pic is my phone wallpaper I like most. We know Thor. I did not want the movie version.
I just don't want to picture a celebrity in my mind when I think of Thor, or the guy who was also Hannibal when I think of Odin.
I didn't make the Thor one and have no idea if they used AI. I did the Vidar.
So, I wanted to wait till tomorrow and do a video with some of my WIP drumming, but have time before I crash tonight.
I really do these to contact and experience and communicate with the god.
I put them both side by side to note the contrast.
Vidar is very light here, but it's crucial not to forget he is a god of great and furious vengeance. Yet, he is also known as the 'Silent god'.
My mind is constantly a raging torrent and I have an elaborate ritual to even get sleep. So, this meeting was interesting.
He put his hand on my forehead. My thoughts went quiet. Then, he abruptly crushed my skull in his giant fist. Out of love, though.
It was the only way to silence the voices of other gods, monsters, men, etc.
You can see my skull in the clouds above, laying open.

It was okay with me because I've already died over and over.
It's a long story, with lots of deep implications. I won't go into it here.
I would also only ever mention that here. Among other heathenfolk.
Here, he is protecting my Soulforge, as I work it to charge his sword for the fight with Fenrir.

I describe this to offer a sense of how this is sacred shamanic art.

He is often thought of as a 'god of the wood' or woods. He came to me as nearly a sky god, too. Only different than Thor.
He is called wide-ruler. The size of a tree. You might get a sense of a tree as he stands in the center.
His iron shoe steps forward by his sword.
If there is a god of curbstomping, it would be Vidar, take caution working with gods of vengeance. They give you experience, and make you ready, but they are not really 'buddy type'.
They are good, and remind you of your goodness, though.

He is like vastly open expansive sky, as much as a one man army of trees.
So rather than a storm, as a brother of Thor, half brother, think of the clearest big sky with massive cumulus clouds. But not windy.
Very still, silent.
Think of the saying, 'walk soft and carry a big stick'.

You are now more in touch with Vidar, an important god we've known so little about.
