This song is inspired by a recurring theme in shaman myths. People destined to be shamans are born with an extra bone, like a finger or tooth. They don't even want to become shamans as it is a very arduous task, but it is inevitable, so they fall into a sickness. They are haunted by visions in which their bodies are torn apart so the spirits can see their bone. Then they are put together again and return bearing knowledge.
