Because of Wicca, most people nowadays think that Friday is Freyja's day, but Friday is Frigg's day. In all medieval writings Frigg was associated with Friday and not Freyja. The custom of associating the Gods with the Days of the week is a Roman custom, where Friday is "veneris dies" (Venus' day) and Freyja does not exist in continental Germanic mythology, and since Frigg is the maternal Goddess of marriage, she was associated with Venus (although a better comparison would be Terra Mater or Juno). Therefore Friday was always Frigg's day, it was never Freyja's day.
