If you inherently long for something, become it first. If you want gardens, become the gardener. If you want love, embody love. If you want mental stimulation, change the conversation. If you want peace, exude calmness. If you want to fill your world with artists, begin to paint. If you want to be valued, respect your own time. If you want to live ecstatically, find the ecstasy within yourself. This is how to draw it in, day by day, inch by inch.

(I forgot it was going to create a post after I updated my background, so heres a bit of context!)

I'm a freelance artist and play a lot of D&D so I also enjoy drawing my characters and giving their stories a visual. This was a quick sketch I did of a half-giant I played called, Mokein when he was a wee lad

    Drawing i made #art
Lucan (right) and his brother Sam'ha'el (left) arguing

    I'll translate it for you:
-Sam: "Please, please! stop being a know-it-all and correcting all the villagers when we ask for information..."
-Lucan: "How do they not grasp the concept that lies between livor-mortis and rigor-mortis?!"
-Sam: "They're fucking illiterate! and it's taking us 3 fucking hours!"

Admins. Is there a place where I can read the group rules as I saw a post that said something to the effect of 'no AI images in this group', but I am not sure how that is defined. My own art (including my profile image) has used AI to add the background, and I often use AI to augment and sharpen or colour old photos, etc. I also use AI in the same way with my music where I write and arrange the songs, then use AI for additional instrumentation and/or vocals where needed, as well as some aspects of the video creation. I have been a professional artist for over 40 years and see AI as another useful tool that artists can use to augment their work. What I DON'T do or support doing in any way is creating images and music that copy, steal from, or imitate other artists. There has to be mostly unique human content in the creative process and lyric writing. But I'm not sure where FOLKREALMS draws the line in that. I feel that I have a lot I can contribute to the group, but do I need to leave because I use AI to augment my art?

    Nábrók or necropants

Nábrók (calqued as necropants, literally "corpse britches") are a pair of pants made from the skin of a dead human, which are believed in Icelandic witchcraft to be capable of producing an endless supply of money.

The ritual for making necropants is described as follows:
If you want to make your own necropants (literally; nábrók), you have to get permission from a living man to use his skin after his death. After he has been buried, you must dig up his body and flay the skin of the corpse in one piece from the waist down. As soon as you step into the pants, they will stick to your own skin. A coin must be stolen from a poor widow and placed in the scrotum

along with the magical sign, nábrókarstafur, written on a piece of paper. Consequently, the coin will draw money into the scrotum so that it will never be empty, as long as the original coin is not removed. To ensure salvation, the owner has to convince someone else to take ownership of the pants and step into each leg as soon as he gets out of it. The necropants will thus keep the
    money-gathering nature for generations.

    Pictures:

A replica of a pair of nábrók at The Museum of Icelandic Sorcery & Witchcraft. And the magical symbol that is part of the ritual and at its feet are coins.

Hi!, I interest the ancient musics of the nomadic and settlement cultures of the Eurasia.
My songs are about ancient Eurasian nomadic stories comes from forgotten periods in the Central Asian steppes. Each record is a training for me to catch and produce new composes in the classical aspects. My composes can be classifized as ''neo-pagan classic''.
I use self-made instruments in records mostly. I also drawing somethings about nomadic dreams in my own medieval eastern style.
