If someone ever asks what makes FolkRealms different:

1. No spam notifications
Unlike Facebook, you are not constantly pulled back in. People check in when they want - more intentional use.

2. Focused niche (Viking / pagan / mythic, history, wiccan etc)
Not for everyone, and thats the point. It attracts people who share the same interests.

3. No algorithm manipulation
You see content from real people, not what an algorithm thinks will addict you.

4. No AI content or bots
No fake engagement, no AI spam, no bot accounts, no ai images. Only real users and real conversations.

5. No ads
No adverisements on the feed, no tracking, no boosted posts. Our community stays clean and distraction-free.

6. Real community
People recognize each other. Feels more like a community than a crowd. We share the same interests.

7. Built from inside the culture
Created by someone who lives in the space - not a big tech company optimizing for engagement metrics, ad revenue and shareholders profit.

I was just having a conversation with my bf about this exact thing. Although I've only been a member of this platform for like a little over 24hrs, the vibe is just soooo different and so much more calming. The posts, the content, the absolute lack of advertisements... it's beautiful. Am really glad Bjørn Andreas Bull-Hansen mentioned it in one of his latest YouTube videos, otherwise I never would have known
