Greetings to all who walk beneath the shade of Yggdrasil.
Today, I come to you to share a situation that challenges the very principles of honor we hold dear. I am João Paulo, a Brazilian musician and practitioner of Norse and Native American shamanism. While my current artistic project is Jörnulfr, back in 2015, I released my works under my surname as Paulo Lobo.
Recently, after years of gathering the courage to finally publish my 2015 album of Native American flutes, "Sopro Ancestral," I discovered something devastating: my life's work has been stolen. An international distribution company called DashGo/Downtown Music, acting on behalf of an entity named "Ideia Distro Digital," has registered and is monetizing my entire album without any authorization. They have gone as far as falsifying the metadata, claiming a 2010 release date for an album that I only created and launched in 2015.
As an independent artist from Brazil and a person with disabilities (PCD), I feel trampled by these giants who profit from the sweat of those struggling to keep ancestral traditions alive. While Spotify has temporarily blocked the content following my report, the battle for my rights and my honor is far from over.
I am sharing this to expose how these companies operate and to seek guidance from anyone who has faced similar challenges. If you have experience with international intellectual property disputes or have dealt with unauthorized distribution by these entities, I would deeply appreciate any orientation on how to proceed from here.
I will not allow my "Ancestral Breaths" to be silenced. As a Drengr, I seek justice through truth and integrity.

For advice Brazil’s central public arts bodies are the Ministério da Cultura and Funarte, while copyright management and authors’ rights enforcement are primarily handled by ECAD and member societies such as UBC. I hope thos helps you, as an artist I understand completely what this means for you, good success!
If anyone would like to discuss this further or offer advice, please feel free to message me here through the chat or reach out via my artistic email: jornulfr@icloud.com.
